# §4333. Training


The [Commissioner](/usc/19/4301.md?p=3) shall ensure that personnel of U.S. Customs and Border Protection assigned to [United States](/usc/19/1683.md?p=9) ports of [entry](/usc/19/1677.md?p=23) are trained to effectively administer the provisions of this subchapter and to otherwise assist in ensuring the safety of merchandise imported into the [United States](/usc/19/1683.md?p=9) and the expeditious [entry](/usc/19/1677.md?p=23) of such merchandise.
