# §3812. Interests of small business


The Assistant [United States](/usc/19/1683.md?p=9) [Trade Representative](/usc/19/1677.md?p=32) for [Industry](/usc/19/1677.md?p=4-A) and Telecommunications shall be responsible for ensuring that the interests of small business are considered in all trade negotiations in accordance with the [objective](/usc/19/2576b.md?p=3) described in [section 3802(a)(8) of this title](/usc/19/3802.md?p=a-8). It is the sense of the Congress that the small business functions should be reflected in the title of the Assistant [United States](/usc/19/1683.md?p=9) [Trade Representative](/usc/19/1677.md?p=32) assigned the responsibility for small business.
