# §3586. Implementation of a sentence of imprisonment


The implementation of a sentence of imprisonment is governed by the provisions of subchapter C of [chapter 229](/usc/18/chptII/ch229.md) and, if the sentence includes a term of supervised release, by the provisions of subchapter A of chapter 229.
