# §206. Exemption of retired officers of the uniformed services


Sections [203](/usc/18/203.md) and [205](/usc/18/205.md) of this title shall not apply to a retired [officer](/usc/18/202.md?p=c) of the uniformed services of the [United States](/usc/18/229F.md?p=9) while not on active duty and not otherwise an [officer or employee](/usc/18/202.md?p=a) of the [United States](/usc/18/229F.md?p=9), or to any [person](/usc/18/229F.md?p=5) specially excepted by Act of Congress.
