# §1910. Nepotism in appointment of receiver or trustee


[Whoever](/usc/18/921.md?p=a-1), being a judge of any court of the [United States](/usc/18/229F.md?p=9), appoints as receiver, or trustee, any [person](/usc/18/229F.md?p=5) related to such judge by consanguinity, or affinity, within the fourth degree—

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
