# §973a. Application to other laws


The seizure by a [Pacific Island Party](/usc/16/973.md?p=11) of a [vessel](/usc/16/973.md?p=7) of the United States shall not be determined to be a seizure described in [section 1825(a)(4)(C) of this title](/usc/16/1825.md?p=a-4-C) or [section 1972 of title 22](/usc/22/1972.md) if the seizure is found by the Secretary of State to be in accordance with the provisions of the [Treaty](/usc/16/973.md?p=16).
