# §94. Location of mining claims


The location of mining claims under the mineral land laws of the United States is prohibited within the [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) of the Mount Rainier National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3), in the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Washington. This provision shall not affect rights acquired in good faith before May 27, 1908, under the mineral land laws of the United States to any mining location or locations in said Mount Rainier National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3).
