# §916k. Regulations; submission; publication; effectiveness


Regulations of the [Commission](/usc/16/544.md?p=c) approved and effective in accordance with [section 916b of this title](/usc/16/916b.md) and article V of the convention shall be submitted for appropriate action or publication in the Federal Register by the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of Commerce and shall become effective with respect to all [persons](/usc/16/450rr–1.md?p=b) and vessels subject to the jurisdiction of the United States in accordance with the terms of such regulations and the provisions of article V of the convention.
