# §8550. Savings provision


Nothing in this part, or in any amendment made by this part, shall be construed as affecting the authority or responsibility of the [Secretary](/usc/16/8401.md?p=7) of the Interior to award concessions contracts for the provision of accommodations, facilities, and services, or [commercial use authorizations](/usc/16/8531.md?p=1) to provide services, to visitors to U.S. [Fish and Wildlife](/usc/16/3102.md?p=17) Service refuges or [units](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=4) of the National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) System pursuant to subchapter II of [chapter 1019](/usc/54/chstI/dA/ch1019.md) of title 54 (formerly known as the “National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) Service Concessions Management Improvement Act of 1998”), except that sections [8543(a)](/usc/16/8543.md?p=a), [8544](/usc/16/8544.md), [8548(a)](/usc/16/8548.md?p=a), [8548(b)](/usc/16/8548.md?p=b), and [8548(c)](/usc/16/8548.md?p=c) of this title shall also apply to [commercial use authorizations](/usc/16/8531.md?p=1) under that Act.
