# §835i. Contracts with State of Washington for maintenance and operation of fish hatcheries


In connection with fish hatcheries built or to be built as a part of the fish-protection program required on the Columbia Basin Dam [project](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-4), the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior is authorized to contract with the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Washington for the maintenance and operation of any of them at the expense of said [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a).
