# §7933. State authority for fish and wildlife


Nothing in this title—[^1]

- (1) authorizes the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of Agriculture or the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) to require Federal licenses or permits to hunt and fish on [Federal land](/usc/16/7911.md?p=1); or
- (2) enlarges or diminishes the responsibility or authority of [States](/usc/16/544.md?p=r) with respect to [fish and wildlife](/usc/16/3102.md?p=17) management.
