# §715f. Consent of State to conveyance in fee


No deed or instrument of conveyance in fee shall be accepted by the [Secretary](/usc/16/718j.md?p=b-3) of the Interior under this subchapter unless the [State](/usc/16/718j.md?p=b-4) in which the [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) lies shall have consented by law to the [acquisition](/usc/16/620e.md?p=1) by the United States of lands in that [State](/usc/16/718j.md?p=b-4).
