# §689d. Acceptance of title to privately owned lands within Tahquitz Preserve


Upon the recommendation of the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of Agriculture the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior is authorized in his discretion to accept, on behalf of the United States, title to any lands in private ownership within the boundaries of the game [preserve](/usc/16/698u–1.md?p=2) established, and make exchange therefor under the provisions of sections [485](/usc/16/485.md) and [486](/usc/16/486.md) of this title.
