# §670l. Stamp requirements not applicable to Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management lands; authorized fees


Notwithstanding any other provision in this subchapter, [section 670i of this title](/usc/16/670i.md) shall not apply to land which is, or hereafter may be, within or designated as Forest Service land or as Bureau of Land Management land of any [State](/usc/16/670.md?p=2) in which all [Federal lands](/usc/16/620e.md?p=2) therein comprise 60 percent or more of the total [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) of such [State](/usc/16/670.md?p=2); except that in any such [State](/usc/16/670.md?p=2), any appropriate [State agency](/usc/16/670k.md?p=5) may agree with the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of Agriculture or the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior, or both, as the case may be, to collect a fee as specified in such agreement at the point of sale of regular licenses to hunt, trap, or fish in such [State](/usc/16/670.md?p=2), the proceeds of which shall be utilized in carrying out [conservation and rehabilitation programs](/usc/16/670k.md?p=6) implemented under this subchapter in the [State](/usc/16/670.md?p=2) concerned and for no other purpose.
