# §6577. Involvement by other agencies and organizations


In carrying out this subchapter, the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of Agriculture may consult with—

- (1) nonindustrial private forest landowners;
- (2) other Federal agencies;
- (3) [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) [fish and wildlife](/usc/16/3102.md?p=17) agencies;
- (4) [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) forestry agencies;
- (5) [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) environmental quality agencies;
- (6) other [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) conservation agencies; and
- (7) nonprofit conservation organizations.
