# §608. Permits to cut and remove timber; citizens of Malheur County, Oregon


It shall be lawful for the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior to grant permits under the provisions of [section 607 of this title](/usc/16/607.md) to citizens of Malheur County, Oregon, to cut timber in the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Idaho for agricultural, mining, or other domestic purposes, and to remove the timber so cut to Malheur County, [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Oregon.
