# §543a. Extension of National Forest boundary

- (a) The exterior boundary of the Inyo National Forest is hereby extended to include the [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) within the boundary of the [Scenic Area](/usc/16/544.md?p=o). Any lands and interests therein acquired pursuant to [section 543b of this title](/usc/16/543b.md) shall become part of the National Forest System.
- (b) For the purposes of [section 200306(a)(2) of title 54](/usc/54/200306.md?p=a-2), the boundary of the Inyo National Forest, as modified by this section, shall be treated as if it were the boundary of that forest on January 1, 1964.
