# §47c. Acquisition of certain lands for preservation and consolidation of timber stands


For the purpose of preserving and consolidating certain timber stands along the western boundary of the Yosemite National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3), the President of the United States is authorized, upon the joint recommendation of the [Secretaries](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior and of Agriculture, to add to said [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) by Executive proclamation any or all of the following-described lands: Sections 19, 20, 29, [30](/usc/16/30.md), [31](/usc/16/31.md), and [32](/usc/16/32.md), township 1 south, range 20 east, Mount Diablo meridian; east half [section 1](/usc/16/1.md); east half [section 12](/usc/16/12.md); southeast quarter [section 24](/usc/16/24.md), township 2 south, range 19 east, Mount Diablo meridian; sections [4](/usc/16/4.md), [5](/usc/16/5.md), and [6](/usc/16/6.md); north half [section 7](/usc/16/7.md); sections [8](/usc/16/8.md) and [9](/usc/16/9.md), and 19 and 20, township 2 south, range 20 east, Mount Diablo meridian, approximately nine thousand acres.
