# §460vv–5. Adjacent management

Congress does not intend that designation of [wilderness](/usc/16/3102.md?p=13) [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) in the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Oklahoma lead to the creation of protective perimeters or buffer zones around each [wilderness](/usc/16/3102.md?p=13) [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A). The fact that nonwilderness activities or uses can be seen or heard from [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) within the [wilderness](/usc/16/3102.md?p=13) shall not, of itself, preclude such activities or uses up to the boundary of the [wilderness](/usc/16/3102.md?p=13) [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A).
