# §460u–26. Units VII–D and I–M

- (a) Before acquiring lands or interests in lands in [Unit](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=4) VII–D (as designated on the [map](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=1) described in [section 460u of this title](/usc/16/460u.md)) the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) shall consult with the Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation to determine what lands or interests in lands are required by the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Indiana for improvements to 15th Avenue (including the extension known as Old Hobart Road) and reconstruction and relocation of the intersection of 15th Avenue and [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) Road 51 so that the [acquisition](/usc/16/620e.md?p=1) by the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of lands or interests in lands in [Unit](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=4) VII–D will not interfere with planned improvements to the [interchange](/usc/16/521c.md?p=2) and 15th Avenue in the [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A).
- (b) Before acquiring lands or interests in lands in [Unit](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=4) I–M (as designated on the [map](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=1) referred to in [section 460u of this title](/usc/16/460u.md)) the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) shall consult with the Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Transportation to determine what lands or interests in lands are required by the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Indiana for improvements to [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) Road 49 and reconstruction and relocation of the [interchange](/usc/16/521c.md?p=2) with [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) Road 49 and U.S. 20 so that the [acquisition](/usc/16/620e.md?p=1) by the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of lands or interests in lands in [Unit](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=4) I–M will not interfere with planned improvements to such [interchange](/usc/16/521c.md?p=2) and [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) Road 49 in the [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A).
