# §460ttt–2. Administration of national recreation area

- (a) **In general—** Subject to valid rights existing on December 1, 2006, the [Secretary](/usc/16/460iii–1.md?p=1) shall administer the Moosalamoo National Recreation [Area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) in accordance with—
  - (1) laws (including rules and regulations) applicable to [units](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=4) of the National Forest System; and
  - (2) the management direction (including objectives, standards, and guidelines) established for the Moosalamoo Recreation and Education Management [Area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) under the [Management Plan](/usc/16/544.md?p=k).
- (b) **Fish and wildlife—** Nothing in this subchapter affects the jurisdiction of the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) with respect to wildlife and fish on the public land located in the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a).
- (c) **Escarpment and ecological areas—** Nothing in this subchapter prevents the [Secretary](/usc/16/460iii–1.md?p=1) from managing the Green Mountain Escarpment Management [Area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) and the Ecological Special [Areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A), as described in the [Management Plan](/usc/16/544.md?p=k).
