# §460ppp–1. Definitions


As used in this subchapter:

- (1) The term “[Secretary](/usc/16/460iii–1.md?p=1)” means the [Secretary](/usc/16/460iii–1.md?p=1) of the Interior.
- (2) The term “[public lands](/usc/16/460ooo.md?p=4)” has the meaning stated in [section 1702(e) of title 43](/usc/43/1702.md?p=e).
- (3) The term “[conservation area](/usc/16/460iii–1.md?p=2)” means the Black Rock Desert-High Rock Canyon Emigrant Trails National [Conservation Area](/usc/16/460iii–1.md?p=2) established pursuant to [section 460ppp–2 of this title](/usc/16/460ppp–2.md).
