# §460ccc–7. Coordinated management


The [Secretary](/usc/16/460ccc.md?p=c) shall coordinate the management of the [conservation area](/usc/16/460ccc.md?p=a) with that of surrounding [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) and [Federal lands](/usc/16/620e.md?p=2) in such a manner as best to meet the present and future needs of the American people.
