# §459g–6. Preservation and designation as wilderness; review of area by Secretary; report to President


On or before January 1, 1978, the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) shall review the [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) within the seashore and shall report to the President, in accordance with [section 1132(c)](/usc/16/1132.md?p=c) and (d) of this title, his recommendations as to the suitability or nonsuitability of any [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) within the seashore for preservation as [wilderness](/usc/16/3102.md?p=13), and any designation of any such [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) as a [wilderness](/usc/16/3102.md?p=13) shall be accomplished in accordance with [section 1132(c)](/usc/16/1132.md?p=c) and (d) of this title.
