# §450y–6. Acquisition of lands; administration


The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior is authorized to [acquire](/usc/16/620e.md?p=1) lands and interests in lands within the revised boundaries of the Coronado National [Memorial](/usc/16/450ss–1.md?p=2) by purchase, donation, with donated funds, or by such other means as he may consider to be in the public interest. Lands and interests in lands acquired pursuant to this Act shall become a part of the [Memorial](/usc/16/450ss–1.md?p=2) and be administered by the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior in accordance with the provisions of the Act of August 25, 1916 (39 Stat. 535),[^1] as amended, and pursuant to sections [450y–1](/usc/16/450y–1.md) to [450y–3](/usc/16/450y–3.md) of this title.

The Act of August 25, 1916 (39 Stat. 535), referred to in text, is act Aug. 25, 1916, ch. 408, 39 Stat. 535, known as the National Park Service Organic Act, which enacted sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 of this title and provisions set out as a note under section 100101 of Title 54, National Park Service and Related Programs.
