# §450y–4. Acquisition of property; donations


Upon submission of title satisfactory to him, the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior, on behalf of the United States, may accept lands and interests in lands which are within the [memorial](/usc/16/450ss–1.md?p=2) [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) but are not in Federal ownership and which are offered to the United States without cost.
