# §433i. Museum; historical markers

- (a) **Maintenance; donations—** The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior is authorized, in his discretion, to maintain in some suitable structure within the national monument a museum for relics and records pertaining to Fort Frederica, and for other articles of national and patriotic interest, and in his discretion to accept, on behalf of the United States, for installation in such museum, articles which may be offered as [additions](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-2) to the museum.
- (b) **State and local participation—** Any [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) or political [subdivision](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=15) thereof, organization, or individual may, with the approval of the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior, erect monuments or place tablets commemorating historic events or [persons](/usc/16/450rr–1.md?p=b) connected with the history of the [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A), within the boundaries of the Fort Frederica National Monument.
