# §430t. Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park; establishment


When title to all the lands, structures, and other property within the military battlefield [area](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) and other [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) of Civil War interest at and in the vicinity of Kennesaw Mountain in the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Georgia, as shall be designated by the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior, in the exercise of his discretion, as necessary or desirable for national [battlefield park](/usc/16/423l–1.md?p=b-1) purposes, shall have been vested in the United States, such [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) shall be, and they are, established, dedicated, and set apart as a public [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) for the benefit and inspiration of the people and shall be known as the “Kennesaw Mountain National [Battlefield Park](/usc/16/423l–1.md?p=b-1).”
