# §430ff. Horseshoe Bend National Military Park; establishment


When not less than five hundred acres of the non-[Federal lands](/usc/16/620e.md?p=2) hereinafter described (together with improvements thereon) and known as the Horseshoe Bend Battle Ground on the Tallapoosa River, in the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Alabama, shall have been acquired and transferred free and clear of all encumbrances to the United States without expense to the Federal Government, such [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) shall be, and are hereby, dedicated and set apart as a [unit](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=4) of the National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) System for the benefit and enjoyment of the people of the United States, under the name of the Horseshoe Bend National Military [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3).
