# §429a–1. Tupelo National Battlefield; acquisition of additional lands


To further the purposes of sections [429](/usc/16/429.md) and [429a](/usc/16/429a.md) of this title, the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior may [acquire](/usc/16/620e.md?p=1) by donation or with donated funds not to exceed one-half acre of land and interests in land for [addition](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-2) to the adjoining Tupelo National Battlefield site.
