# §422a–2. Authorization of appropriations


There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of [section 422a–1 of this title](/usc/16/422a–1.md), but not more than $243,000 shall be appropriated for the [acquisition](/usc/16/620e.md?p=1) of lands and interests in lands and not more than $325,000 shall be appropriated for development.
