# §410zzz. Acquisition of lands


In order to [preserve](/usc/16/698u–1.md?p=2) in public ownership historically significant properties associated with the life and cultural achievements of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior may [acquire](/usc/16/620e.md?p=1), by donation from the Saint-Gaudens [Memorial](/usc/16/450ss–1.md?p=2), a corporation, the sites and structures comprising the Saint-Gaudens [Memorial](/usc/16/450ss–1.md?p=2) situated at Cornish, New Hampshire, and by donation or purchase with donated funds not to exceed three acres of adjacent lands which the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior deems necessary for the purposes of this subchapter, together with any works of art, furnishings, reproductions, and other properties within the structures and on the [memorial](/usc/16/450ss–1.md?p=2) grounds.

Pub. L. 116–9, title II, § 2201(a), (c), Mar. 12, 2019, 133 Stat. 733, 734, provided that: In General.—The Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site shall be known and designated as the ‘Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park’. References.—Any reference in any law, regulation, document, record, map, or other paper of the United States to the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site shall be considered to be a reference to the ‘Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park’.”
