# §410ggg. Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park

- (a) **Establishment—** In order to [preserve](/usc/16/698u–1.md?p=2) for the benefit and inspiration of the people of the United States as a national historical [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) certain sites, structures, and [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) located in Richmond, California, that are associated with the industrial, governmental, and citizen efforts that led to victory in World War II, there is established the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) (in this subchapter referred to as the “[park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3)”).
- (b) **Areas included—**
  - (1) **In general—** The boundaries of the [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) shall include—
    - (A)
      - (i) the [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) generally depicted on the [map](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=1) entitled “Proposed Boundary [Map](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=1), Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3)”, numbered 963/80,000, and dated May 2000; and
      - (ii) the [areas](/usc/16/539m–1.md?p=1-A) depicted as the “Proposed Boundary [Addition](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-2)” on the [map](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=1) entitled “Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) Proposed Boundary [Addition](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-2)”, numbered 499/168,353, and dated May 2020; and
    - (B) any other historic properties identified by the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) as appropriate for [addition](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-2) to the [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3), subject to the requirement that a historic property proposed for [addition](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-2) to the [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) shall—
      - (i) be determined to be eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places;
      - (ii) have a direct connection to World War II home front themes in Richmond, California; and
      - (iii) relate to the purpose, significance, and interpretive themes of the [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3).
  - (2) **Availability of maps—** The [maps](/usc/16/430f–7.md?p=1) referred to in [paragraph (1)](#b-1) shall be on file and available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) Service.

2022—Subsec. (b). Pub. L. 117–328 added subsec. (b) and struck out former subsec. (b). Prior to amendment, text read as follows: “The boundaries of the park shall be those generally depicted on the map entitled ‘Proposed Boundary Map, Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park’ numbered 963/80,000 and dated May 2000. The map shall be on file and available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the National Park Service.”

2004—Subsec. (b). Pub. L. 108–352 substituted “numbered 963/80,000” for “numbered 963/80000”.

### Short Title

Pub. L. 106–352, § 1, Oct. 24, 2000, 114 Stat. 1370, provided that: “This Act [enacting this subchapter] may be cited as the ‘Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park Establishment Act of 2000’.”
