# §403h–10. Notice to Governors of North Carolina and Tennessee; application of sections 403h–3 and 403h–4 to subsequent lands accepted


The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior shall notify in writing the Governors of the [States](/usc/16/544.md?p=r) of North Carolina and Tennessee of the passage and approval of this Act, and of the fact that the United States assumes police jurisdiction over said [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) as specified in said acts of the [States](/usc/16/544.md?p=r) of North Carolina and Tennessee. Upon the acceptance by the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior of further cessions of jurisdiction over lands now or hereafter included in the Great Smoky Mountains National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3), the provisions of sections [2](/usc/16/2.md) to [9](/usc/16/9.md) inclusive, shall apply to such lands.
