# §3605. Cooperation with other agencies and institutions

- (a) **Federal and State agencies; private institutions—** In carrying out the provisions of the [Convention](/usc/16/3601.md?p=4), the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of Commerce, in consultation with the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior, may arrange for the cooperation of agencies of the United States and the [States](/usc/16/544.md?p=r), and of private institutions and [organizations](/usc/16/3601.md?p=7).
- (b) **Use of Federal facilities; reimbursement—** Appropriate agencies of the United States may cooperate in the conduct of scientific and other programs, and may furnish facilities and personnel, for the purposes of assisting the [Organization](/usc/16/3601.md?p=7) in carrying out its duties under the [Convention](/usc/16/3601.md?p=4). Such agencies may accept reimbursement from the [Organization](/usc/16/3601.md?p=7) for providing such services, facilities, and personnel.
