# §344. Establishment; maintenance


The Zion National Monument, in the county of Washington, [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Utah, is declared to be a national [park](/usc/16/284j.md?p=2) and dedicated as such for the benefit and enjoyment of the people, under the name of the Zion National [Park](/usc/16/284j.md?p=2), under which name the aforesaid national [park](/usc/16/284j.md?p=2) shall be maintained by allotment of funds heretofore or hereafter appropriated for the national monuments, until such time as an independent appropriation is made therefor by Congress.
