# §256i. Notice to Governor of Washington; application of laws to subsequently accepted lands


The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior shall notify in writing the Governor of the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Washington of the passage and approval of this Act, and of the fact that the United States assumes police jurisdiction over the [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3). Upon the acceptance by the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior of further cessions of jurisdiction over lands now or hereafter included in the Olympic National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3), the provisions of sections [256b](/usc/16/256b.md) and [256c](/usc/16/256c.md) of this title shall apply to such lands.
