# §2433. Representatives

- (a) **Representative to the Commission—** The Secretary of State, with the concurrence of the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of Commerce and the Director of the National Science [Foundation](/usc/16/450ss–1.md?p=1), shall appoint an officer or employee of the United States as the United States representative to the [Commission](/usc/16/2432.md?p=3).
- (b) **Representative to the Scientific Committee—** The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of Commerce and the Director of the National Science [Foundation](/usc/16/450ss–1.md?p=1), with the concurrence of the Secretary of State, shall designate the United States representative to the [Scientific Committee](/usc/16/2432.md?p=9).
- (c) **Compensation—** The United States representatives to the [Commission](/usc/16/2432.md?p=3) and the [Scientific Committee](/usc/16/2432.md?p=9) shall receive no additional compensation by reason of their services as such representatives.
