# §2411. Federal agency cooperation


Each Federal department or agency whose activities affect [Antarctica](/usc/16/2402.md?p=2) shall utilize, to the maximum extent practicable, its authorities in furtherance of the purposes of this chapter, and shall cooperate with the [Director](/usc/16/2402.md?p=4) in carrying out the purposes of this chapter.
