# §204k. Addition of lands


The President of the United States is authorized, upon the joint recommendation of the [Secretaries](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior and of Agriculture, to add to the Lassen Volcanic National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3), in the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of California, by Executive proclamation, any or all of the lands within sections [3](/usc/16/3.md) and [4](/usc/16/4.md), township 29 north, range 6 east; and sections 29, [30](/usc/16/30.md), [31](/usc/16/31.md), [32](/usc/16/32.md), [33](/usc/16/33.md), [34](/usc/16/34.md), [35](/usc/16/35.md), and [36](/usc/16/36.md), township 30 north, range 6 east, Mount Diablo meridian, not now included within the boundaries of the [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3): Provided, That no privately owned lands shall be added to the [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3) prior to the vesting in the United States of title thereto.
