# §203. Sale and removal of timber; charges for leases and privileges


The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior may sell and permit the removal of such matured or dead or down timber as he may deem necessary or advisable for the protection or improvement of the [park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3), and may exact such charges as he deems proper for leases and all other privileges granted under this section and sections [201](/usc/16/201.md) and [202](/usc/16/202.md) of this title.
