# §161e. Additional lands, buildings, or other real and personal property


The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior is authorized to [acquire](/usc/16/620e.md?p=1), and the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Montana is authorized to convey to the United States, without regard to the requirements contained in section 11 of the Act approved February 22, 1889 (25 Stat. 676), any lands, interests in lands, buildings, or other property, real and personal, owned by the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Montana within the boundaries of Glacier National [Park](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-3). The aforesaid properties may be acquired from the [State](/usc/16/590q.md?p=a) of Montana by the [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) of the Interior for such consideration as he may deem advisable, when the [acquisition](/usc/16/620e.md?p=1) of such property would, in his judgment, be in the best interests of the United States.
