# §1605. Protection, use and management of renewable resources on non-Federal lands; utilization of Assessment, surveys and Program by Secretary to assist States, etc.


The [Secretary](/usc/16/410r–5.md?p=c-1) may utilize the Assessment, resource surveys, and Program prepared pursuant to this subchapter to assist [States](/usc/16/544.md?p=r) and other organizations in proposing the planning for the protection, use, and management of renewable resources on non-[Federal land](/usc/16/3102.md?p=2).
