# §1423f. Implementation of actions taken by the Commission

- (a) **In general—** The [Secretary](/usc/16/1423.md?p=5) shall [take](/usc/16/1362.md?p=13) all necessary actions to implement the decisions and determinations of the [Commission](/usc/16/1423.md?p=7) under paragraph 7 of article 8 of the [Agreement](/usc/16/1423.md?p=1).
- (b) **Taking limitation—** Not later than 60 days after the date on which the [Secretary](/usc/16/1423.md?p=5) receives notice of the determination of the [Commission](/usc/16/1423.md?p=7) of an annual [taking](/usc/16/1423.md?p=6) limit, or of the adoption by the [Commission](/usc/16/1423.md?p=7) of other restriction on the [taking](/usc/16/1423.md?p=6) of polar bears for subsistence purposes, the [Secretary](/usc/16/1423.md?p=5) shall publish a notice in the Federal Register announcing the determination or restriction.
