# §1405. Coordination with other Federal agencies


The [Commission](/usc/16/544.md?p=c) shall have access to all studies and data compiled by Federal agencies regarding [marine mammals](/usc/16/1362.md?p=6). With the consent of the appropriate [Secretary](/usc/16/1362.md?p=12-A) or Agency head, the [Commission](/usc/16/544.md?p=c) may also utilize the facilities or services of any Federal agency and shall [take](/usc/16/1362.md?p=13) every feasible step to avoid duplication of research and to carry out the purposes of this chapter.
