# §8232. Severability


If any section or subsection of this chapter, or any application of such provision to any [person](/usc/15/7a.md?p=6) or circumstance, is held to be unconstitutional, the remainder of this chapter, and the application of the provision to any other [person](/usc/15/7a.md?p=6) or circumstance, shall not be affected.
