# §690p. Authorizations of appropriations

- (a) **In general—** Subject to the availability of appropriations, the [Administrator](/usc/15/662.md?p=2) is authorized to make $15,000,000 in [operational assistance](/usc/15/689.md?p=5) grants under [section 690h of this title](/usc/15/690h.md) for each of fiscal years 2008 and 2009.
- (b) **Funds collected for examinations—** Funds deposited under [section 690l(c)(2)](/usc/15/690l.md?p=c-2) of this title are authorized to be appropriated only for the costs of examinations under [section 690l](/usc/15/690l.md) of this title and for the costs of other oversight activities with respect to the program established under this part.
