# §657i. Coordination of disaster assistance programs with FEMA

- (a) **Coordination required—** The [Administrator](/usc/15/637c.md?p=1) shall ensure that the [disaster](/usc/15/632.md?p=k-1) assistance programs of the [Administration](/usc/15/636e.md?p=1) are coordinated, to the maximum extent practicable, with the [disaster](/usc/15/632.md?p=k-1) assistance programs of the Federal Emergency Management [Agency](/usc/15/632.md?p=b).
- (b) **Regulations required—** The [Administrator](/usc/15/637c.md?p=1), in consultation with the [Administrator](/usc/15/637c.md?p=1) of the Federal Emergency Management [Agency](/usc/15/632.md?p=b), shall establish regulations to ensure that each application for [disaster](/usc/15/632.md?p=k-1) assistance is submitted as quickly as practicable to the [Administration](/usc/15/636e.md?p=1) or directed to the appropriate [agency](/usc/15/632.md?p=b) under the circumstances.
- (c) **Completion; revision—** The initial regulations shall be completed not later than 270 days after the date of the enactment of the Small Business [Disaster](/usc/15/632.md?p=k-1) Response and Loan Improvements Act of 2008. Thereafter, the regulations shall be revised on an annual basis.
- (d) **Report—** The [Administrator](/usc/15/637c.md?p=1) shall include a report on the regulations whenever the [Administration](/usc/15/636e.md?p=1) submits the report required by [section 657o](/usc/15/657o.md) of this title.
