# §3208. Relationship to other applicable law


Nothing in this chapter prohibits any [State regulatory authority](/usc/15/3202.md?p=8) or [nonregulated gas utility](/usc/15/3202.md?p=4) from adopting, pursuant to [State](/usc/15/15g.md?p=2) law, any standard or rule affecting [gas utilities](/usc/15/3202.md?p=2) which is different from any standard established by this chapter.
