# §2683. Identification of dangerous levels of lead


Within 18 months after October 28, 1992, the [Administrator](/usc/15/2602.md?p=1) shall promulgate regulations which shall identify, for purposes of this subchapter and the Residential [Lead-Based Paint Hazard](/usc/15/2681.md?p=10) Reduction Act of 1992 [[42 U.S.C. 4851](/usc/42/4851.md) et seq.], [lead-based paint hazards](/usc/15/2681.md?p=10), [lead-contaminated dust](/usc/15/2681.md?p=11), and [lead-contaminated soil](/usc/15/2681.md?p=12).
